Let`s kick off the topic with a tribute to the Summer Solstice which starts today. This track is an expression of the Wiccan/Druid/Pagan tradition of celebrating the turning of the Wheel of the Year.

Great new topic, DGQ. I'll follow up your cool Summer Solstice song with Jerry Keller's eager anticipation of that season:

Several months further on down the line, Arnold Bax's opulently brooding tone poem November Woods suits my mood right now:

You don`t have to listen to any lyrics. To those with different or no religious affiliations it`s great just to listen to the songs instrumentally. A mix of the sacred and secular, contemporary and traditional. Great background music when you are engaged in doing other work on the computer. You can even annoy others if you listen to it, say, in July. It`s that good!

I have the Nutcracker Suite on vinyl. It was one of my very first LPs (in 1962). Your album is playing now. It's my late night/early morning listen for the next few days. Wink

DJ never saw the start of this summer. I heard this this morning and it brought tears to my eyes for that reason. Rest in peace, dear friend.

As autumn rolls around, one's thoughts are autumnal. This is for DJ:
