Bad news. And I see the NHS is almost at breaking point. Things aren't much better here. One big fucking mess all round.

Hopefully we are out of it come March.

Great score line for us last night. 9-0 against Southampton!

I'm feeling like I won't be seeing family for a 2nd year... the borders have gotten a lot more stricter. Quarenting for 2 weeks in a hotel just doesn't seem appealing! Especially with my girls who love to be outdoors all the time.

Hello, Ashley. So this is year #2... That's a bummer. And you'd have to go into quarantine for two weeks?
Well, let's hope the vaccines help to get this dreadful COVID business under control and you can visit your folks again soon without all this palaver. I know how much you value your trips to Canada.
Hang on in there, A. There will be better times.

Hi Don. Yes I know, it's quiet round here these days.
I still have to have mine. My age puts me in a higher risk group so I should be getting them soon. I believe there's a big gap between the first and second shots. Was that the same in your case?

We're moving! Well the selling part of the house is underway, seems to be a selling market right now! A bit stressful not knowing where we're moving to yet. But I'm excited for it, I'm hoping we can find a place out in the country away from neighbourhoods!

Hello, A. As you see, it's not very active round these parts. In my case, there are too many memories -- DJ and I were very close for more than ten years. It's so strange to think she passed away a year ago next Thursday -- it feels like yesterday.
Actually, you're the main reason I still look in here every day, as I know you drop by from time to time. So you're moving house. Well yes, I also hope your new home is rural rather than urban! I'm sure you'll let us know how the move is progressing. Take care, OK?

Oh I'm sorry, I've had a few online friends pass away over the years, and occasionally facebook brings up memories..
Yes, I'll try to keep things updated here with the move, it seems to be going slow at the moment, because since it's moving season trying to get in touch with painters to paint the house is hard, as they to are swamped with renovations..
It feels odd to sell first then buy, but it seems it'll have to be the way! I do really want a house of our own and decorate it my way, the house we live in now has never really felt like ours!
I would love 5 acres of land in the country, away from busy roads and noisy neighbours.

Hope everyone is doing well on the board. I haven't been on much due to being busy with work and life. I will try to be around more, if and when that is...

Hi Rich, I hope you're doing OK yourself. I'm not around here much -- too heavy going. It's been a year, you know, since DJ passed. It feels like yesterday...

you will have noisy neighbors wherever you go i think. ours aren't too bad they once in awhile can get loud but not too often but than we live in BFE too. my favorite story as i've posted on here i think? was the one that a friend of my brother's told me years ago when they were tired of being watched by neighbors and they bought some drapes and after they put them on the phone rings and they answer it and it's the neighbor across the street asking why did you put drapes up? i can't see what you are doing anymore.
that just makes me laugh and i post that cause it looks like someone here needs a good laugh

I can imagine it's a little surreal. Well let's hope it works out. Take care, Rich.

I've been making weekly trips to the lake nearby! It's definitely how I survive the summers here. I really do miss going on vacation, sometimes it's nice to have a change of scenery.
Latest with moving.. got storage, next step will be painting, then re-carpeting and finally putting it on the market. Possibly we'll have it sold by early fall!

My girls start grade 2 and grade 4 this year! Still homeschooling them. I was hoping we could have moved before they started school again but that doesn't seem to be the case. The hubby is getting cold feet about moving, I think he fears selling and then not being able to find a place. In laws have offered to have us stay with them, while it wouldn't be the greatest thing, at least it'll be a place to stay until we find a place.
Also, I recently got myself a bike! Its a cruiser type and its pink with a basket! So cute I was 12 last time I rode a bike, so hard getting used to it! And any bike I've owned always had brakes you use with your hands, really not used to having to pedal backwards.
