A single from Nine Black Alps which didn't fill its full potential is "Supermarket Clothes". I really liked this track and when I saw them in 2014 on the year of its release, it went down well live.

Unfortunately, and like many of the albums/songs after their "hit" first album, they never till this day made the same heights as first time around.

However, rumour is they have a new album coming out maybe this year... Could that be their big turn around, who knows....

Why String Driven Thing's "Circus" wasn't a hit in 1972 (or even 1973) I shall never understand. The early '70s were responsible for a remarkable array of out-on-a-limb 45s and this was one of the best.
