The former Queen (now Princess) Beatrix of the Netherlands is celebrating her 80th birthday
today. Time, once again, for the Pistols. I hope to see you all up on your feet gobbing.

I've been listening to a comp of stuff by Siouxsie and the Banshees.
This one and "Hong Kong Garden" have appealed to me most so far:

Here are The Damned, a recent discovery on my part, with the thought-provoking "Jet Boy Jet Girl":

I'm mildly obsessed with this song these days and I haven't decided why. Today I discovered the following about this version, most importantly that it's not The Damned: "Captain Sensible, lead singer of The Damned, recorded a cover of 'Jet Boy, Jet Girl' while the band was on hiatus in 1978. With mumbled lyrics, sloppy guitars, and a tinny recording quality, the messy track sounded more like a bootleg than an intentional single. 'Jet Boy, Jet Girl' was already tangentially connected to The Damned, as [the song's originator Alan] Ward’s band before Elton Motello [who recorded the original] was a punk band called Bastard, which included eventual Damned guitarist Brian James." [Source]
And then there's this, courtesy of Discogs:
"After The Damned split up in early 1978 [Captain Sensible] accepted an invitation to join The Softies, a Dutch-based band, led by Big Mick Smith, who also just happened to be an ex-Damned road manager. Captain went over to Holland and stayed with the band for several months, touring Holland and Germany. This single was this line-up's sole release, with Captain on vocals on 'Jet Boy Jet Girl' and also him playing the excellent guitar solo too."
The Captain Sensible version seems utterly detached from the sentiments of the song, which gives it a sinister edge not felt in the original.

Glueams was a Swiss punk group. Seems there was quite a thriving punk scene in Tobleroneland (I must investigate it further some day). The lineup would seem to be Christian Trüssel aka GT (bass), Martin Pavlinec (guitar) and Marco Repetto (drums). No idea who the lead singer is. From 1979, this is "Mental":
