Mr. K wrote:What a setting--not only the fairytale grounds but the surrounding countryside as well. Once again, I really like the exterior shots (and shots through windows). It puts the house and its setting wonderfully in perspective. And some cool music by Signor Buonamente. Another great vid there, Rich. Only... are you able to change Brodswall to Brodsworth in the title (twice)? That would make it perfect!
I never noticed that! Thanks John - bloody auto-correct must of changed it! It was also "not" Bills bucket. ... Thanks for the kind words!

First off, Rich, you must tell me what the piece by Buxtehude is! I always feel he sounds more adventurous than Bach, even though Bach came later.
I've never been to Pershore but I remember a Pershore Road in Brum where I was there. Interestingly when reading it up at Wikipedia, I noticed there's a Dutch connection when Queen Wilhelmina was offered shelter there during WW2. And now the National Trust is to be granted a 999-year lease on the building!!!
That tree at 1:50 is amazing! And the view out at 6:40 is very cool. It's certainly in a wonderful setting, dotted with all those small folly-like buildings.
Another MR classic!

You're the second person to ask what piece is it, lol! I had a comment on the video with the same question. The composition by Buxtehude is "Trio Sonata Op.2 No.3 in G minor BuxWV 261".
Thanks as always!

You're welcome, Rich. Thanks for the title of the piece. I've returned the honours to the person who introduced me to Buxtehude's music by posting it on that forum.
Oh, and hearty congrats on five years of MR!!

Thanks John! However, the 5 year anniversary of MR was in 2017. As shown from my video at the time going back to the first castle I filmed for the channel, which was back in 2012, and thus being Rochester Castle. I do that speech to start the video, lol! Sure you've seen it back in '17.... It's 8 years of MR now!

Oh shit. I'm so sorry. Shows how out of touch I am with the real world! I must have seen it--I've watched all your videos. Eight years--well, that calls for an even bigger toast! No problem, I can handle it!

Since you visit a lot of ruins, castles, etc., are people allowed to have picnics and weddings? This one would be a beautiful background for a wedding. Spring must be coming early to England. (BTW, "hello, ducky!" )

Many castles allow weddings at a fee (a large fee that is!). We at Kenilworth Castle have now stopped doing weddings due to the sheer number of problems they cause with the everyday punters (long story). I don't know how it works with Newark Castle, mind. Glad you liked the duck scene! I found it really funny and had to film.

I somehow managed to miss the swearing. Damn. Seriously, it's wonderful to be able to take a digital walk around such magnificent scenery. You've done us all a great service, Rich. (Thinks: shouldn't that be Non-Music Video?)
The closest we got to Brough was Clapham quite a way to the south, where we camped (this was years ago!), walked a lot and went on trips to the Lake District, where I seem to remember getting pissed.
Looking forward to checking out Rushton Triangular Lodge (nothing to do with Rocky Pamplin, I assume)...
