The Sum of The Parts: Small Details That Make A Song

I've always been fascinated by small little parts of a song that make the record really stand out.
A good example of this would be Lay All Your Love on Me by ABBA. This actually has two parts that really make it for me; The weird tape delay effect at the end of each bridge and the fantastic Bach-esque synth pattern played in the background during the last two runs of the chorus.

The two part harmony in the chorus absolutely makes this song. One of the best things about the B52s was how well Cindy and Kate's voices blended and this song is a great example of that.

For some reason I'm having great trouble thinking of a song to post in what is a very cool thread! Well, I'll keeping on thinking...

Well, In honour of your profile picture, this is another song that I find is comprised of loads of interesting little bits. The drum machine in the intro, that sparkly Organ (?) sound in the first verse going into the bridge and the abso-bloody-lutely fantastic organ sound in the chorus.
Of course, the fact Steve Marriott sang on it helps too!!
