The Gaelic Grace of Clannad Empty The Gaelic Grace of Clannad

Clannad is a band from Ireland that consists totally of family members: siblings Ciaran Brennan. Pol, and Maire Brennan with twin uncles Noel and Padraig Duggan. Formed in 1970 in Gweedor, County Donegal their music is a mix of traditional Irish, New Age ambient, folk rock, and Celtic with a little bit of smooth jazz and Gregorian chant thrown into the mix. They once had a younger sister that joined the band for a while, but she had to go out on her own and call herself Enya, haha.

This track is from their album Banba, which is a mythical romantic name for Ireland.

From their album Macalla which translates to mean 'echo' in Irish Gaelic. This features Mel Collins on sax, who was once a member of King Crimson. He also played a sax solo on the Rolling Stones track 'Miss You'.

Track: 'The Wild Cry'---Clannad
