Who knew George Harrison was an F1 fanatic! Never heard this song before either---brilliant stuff! I like the guitar work, plus vox...

YouTube automatically played this after a video I was watching (they recommend it or something). I think it's brilliant! Never heard of them either! Any ideas? Love the tone on the lead guitar.

Ellis and Palmier were both jazz guitarists. You can find them individually at Wikipedia. Good call! I have the album lined up for later listening.

Yesterday I took a break from work and looked around Hoffman for appeals to identify stuff. Within half an hour I had found one such appeal and identified the song in question! It reminded me of the good old song-identifying days at YouTube before it became a toxic place.
The song in question is an Italo disco track from Denmark. (Read the blurb linked below for an explanation.) "Le Parisien" is credited to GIM-MIX feat. Danielle Deneuve:

"Accidents" was the excellent follow-up to "Something In The Air". Unlike its predecessor (a UK #1) it only scraped into the UK top 50 in mid 1970, no doubt owing to its morbid lyrics. Pity, because the music is absolutely top-notch.

I remember we (LK) were going to cover "Something In The Air" by Thunderclap Newman in either 2013/2014 in the set. I believe it was bassist Tim's idea. However, it never happened. Great band mind!

That would have been a great showcase for Mark's keyboard chops.
Yes, their album is pretty good, what I remember of it.

Here's a great track by Nils Lofgren with some stunning octave bass work by maestro Bob Babbitt. "Shine Silently" was requested by a musician friend for my balcony concert today. However, these ended last Saturday--we're partially out of lockdown now in NL so there's little point in continuing them. I'll record an indoor version for him tomorrow. "SS" did well in the Low Countries (see link).

This is such a tragically under appreciated song.

When my partner obtained her Bachelor's in 1979 we threw a party. We bought three current favourite 45s for the occasion: The Commodores' "Sail On", Status Quo's "Whatever You Want" and The Eagles' "Heartache Tonight":
