When I met David Marks at a private VIP Beach Boys performance he did in Essex (London) in 2008 we spoke about the Moon. Mainly the song "Come Out Tonight".... He said it was good times doing that song + the rest.
"Come Out Tonight" is at 48:38 & is my favourite Moon song.

Listening to Mac Demarco tonight made me want to listen to this classic! I have this rare 45, signed by David himself when I met him in 2008, and it's now framed in our piano room.

What's the connection between MD and DM? undercover-m (PSF and Smiley) was/is a huge fan of
Mr DeMarco. I like his stuff too, particularly one album I can't think of right now... I must look it up.

There's no connection personally between them both. However, they both use reverb.

I missed David's birthday by three days last year and this year by four. Not good--and it's in my diary as well. Time you started paying attention (again), Mr. K.
This is from The Moon's 1968 album Without Earth, with some cool backwards guitar. Many belated happies, sir!

The Moon were awesome. I remember talking to David Marks vip with the LK back in 2008 about his Moon days---a great chat.

Very cool! I originally wanted to find a BB track where he was more prominent than just as the rhythm guitarist but there aren't any! A few notes at the start of "Surf Jam" and that seems to be about it, thanks to that dictator Murry.

Always loved that change at 1:22 in that Moon song ISBD. Just epic!

The song David Marks put to Brian for a potential Beach Boys release. Brian turned it down. It's a cool track and David released it in his band after his leave from the boys.
